This fabulous Speyside single malt was distilled at Benriach in May 2000 and matured in refill sherry butts, before an eight month finishing period in a fresh sherry butt. In April 2021, after 20 years of maturation,
Nose: Summer berries with melted chocolate, strong coffee, orange zest, and wood oils.
Palate: Spicy cedarwood, flaky pastry, toasted nuts, ginger, and cinnamon.
Finish: Baking spices and dark, aged fruit cake with toasted almond topping.
